Danielle Shin '25 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals include striving for excellence academically, athletically and personally. I will major in Accounting with aspirations of working for a Big 4 accounting firm. My swimming goals are the relentless pursuit of achieving best times and being a part of a larger swim family. Personally, I am eager to grow and develop to become the best version of myself.  

I've been swimming since I was 5 years old. Through consistency, discipline and motivation, I have excelled in my sport. I currently train 8 sessions/week including weight training.  I am my team's biggest cheerleader bringing energy, motivation and always have a smile on my face. Mentally, there is something positive to take away from every race including the knowledge to improve if I had a setback and supporting my teammates through their  ups and downs. Being one of the youngest in my graduating class has never stopped me from achieving great things. Since fall of '23 I have been on an upward trajectory with consistent time drops. There is no limit to what we can achieve with the right attitude, confidence and ambition. I'm excited for my college journey and continuing my love for the sport of swimming!
