Personal Statement
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically, as well as academically. I believe that I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and ability to make an immediate impact on your program. I contribute to my team by showing I work hard, persevere despite setbacks, and support the other members of my team. I have determination, which sets me apart from other students and athletes who excel, solely because of their talent. I strive to work to the best of my ability, and always listen to teachers and coaches who offer suggestions on how I can improve. I work hard to set challenging goals, and then to create a plan to achieve them. I know that I can do almost anything I set my mind to accomplish. I try to learn from each of my mistakes, to grow and become better. I love being part of a team, and I also work well independently. I am looking forward to seeing what I am capable of in my four years as a college student-athlete !
