I am very driven and devoted to everything I set my mind to. Swimming has been an important part of my life since I was 7 years old. I feel happiest in the water and am so excited to have completed the first season of my high school swimming career while continuing my U.S.A. swimming. During my first high school season, I broke three school records, finished first in the 100 Backstroke in my Conference Meet, finished 9th in the 100 Butterfly and 12th in the 100 Backstroke in my States meet, and made First Team All Conference and the All-State Honorable Mention team.
While I work hard in the pool, I also work very hard in the classroom. I have learned that balancing academics and swimming is very important. I have maintained honor roll in school and am able to excel in my accelerated English class at our local community college while having swim practice every night and many out of town competitions on weekends. With hard work ahead, I am looking forward to seeing all I can accomplish in the next four years!
