One highlight from my swimming career was winning the 100 butterfly at states my freshman year. This taught me that through diligence and perseverance, I can achieve great things. Through the years, I have learned that although swimming is a seemingly individual sport, teamwork is a crucial aspect to individual and team success. Everyday, I strive to be a compassionate, supportive, and selfless team player. In college, I aspire to be on a close-knit team that works hard and is eager to improve. Furthermore, I have been swimming since I was 4, and have always loved training all four strokes, but I have grown to have a special aptitude for butterfly. As for my academics, I have a high priority on school and would love to study something involving biology, possibly on a pre-med track. In addition, I am very passionate about service, as I am a coach for Special Olympics, volunteer for JDRF, and very active in my school community. I would really love to find a school that can support me and aid me in accomplishing all my goals in college.
