Waking up at four in the morning and swimming back and forth over a black line for miles and miles may seem like something out of a nightmare to some, but to me, it is my life. Ever since I was first put in summer league at age 5, my love for swimming has only grown. Through the highs and the lows of swimming, I have gained experience and grown as an individual. I hope to continue to grow as a student-athlete at the college level.
Through swimming, I have learned how to be a better person, teammate, and leader. I have also learned the value and importance of hard work, commitment, and perseverance. Perhaps the most valuable skill I have gained through my swimming career is the ability to bounce back after a bad race and focus on my next swim. Along with being challenged athletically, I am looking for a school that will also challenge me academically. Academics are very important to me, and I believe that I would be a valuable asset to a team both athletically and academically.
