I've been involved with swimming for eleven years. I started competitively swimming at ten years old. Since then, I've qualified for the Florida Age Group Swimming Championships in the Spring and in the Summer. Once High School swimming started, I have qualified for States as a freshman and as a sophmore. Swimming has taugh me that if you want something, you need to work for it, no matter how much time and effort is involved. In addition to swimming, I'm involved with school clubs such as National Honors Society, Deca (Distributive Education Clubs of America), Best Buddies and more. I beileve that having social skills and a sense of work ethic outside of a sport is important because it makes you a more rounded person. I feel that my dedication to swim, high school accomplishments, and community service efforts have prepared me for my college swimming future and acedemic endearvors.
