I have wanted to swim in college for many years now and for many reasons. I have swam on a competitive swim team since I was 8 years old and have always found something wonderful about it. I am now a senior in high school and my sophomore year I was the high point winner on the swim team and was the only swimmer on the team to make it to state (in the 500 freestyle). This past high school season, I won the 500 free at our cape coast championship meet. I placed 3rd at regional championships in 2016 and 17 and advanced to state in the 500 and 200 free. Along with individual events, our 200 freestyle relay also got 1st at regionals, with me as the anchor and fastest leg. In college I want to be able to be involved in a sport and meet new people. I also want to advance in standards and placing as I get into collegiate swimming.
