Personal Statement
On a regular basis, my schedule consists of nine practices a week, school, and up to three hours of homework a night. On Monday's, Wednesday's, and Friday’s I practice twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon with school in between. On Tuesday's and Thursday's I practice once in the afternoon after school. On Saturday's, I have one practice from 6-9 in the morning. We have Sunday's off. I have been swimming competitively for 10 years. With this being said, I am an extremely dedicated and hardworking student-athlete. I can manage my time very well so I can complete all of my tasks with high efficiency. I am a member of the International Baccalaureate Organization at Riverview High School. Along with swimming, academics are also extremely important to me. For my whole life, I have maintained an unweighted GPA of 4.0 and a weighted GPA of 5.28. I would be a great member of your team because I am a great team player and I am very optimistic. I always try to look on the bright side of even the worst situations. I believe my optimism guides me through tough times that I encounter through my life. I try to spread my optimism to those around me and I am always looking for ways to give back to my society. For example, I regularly volunteer at a local cat shelter and I volunteer in multiple community projects such as swim meets, triathalons, coastal clean-ups, and the annual Special Olympics.
