Bailey Ibarra '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Bailey Ibarra.  I am 16 years old and a junior at Cherokee High School.  The 2016 – 2017 swim season has just started. This year I am swimming at the senior level with Stingrays Swimming. I am still loving all the extra time I am getting in the pool. Over this pass summer, I placed 8th in the state of Georgia in the 50 backstroke for GRPA. I am motivated to keep dropping time and my goal is to qualify for the Georgia High School State Meet in the 100 backstroke.

I would like to swim at a College or University in or close to Georgia as this is where my whole family is located but I am open to other locations, if the fit is right.  I am currently maintaining a 3.75 GPA.  I plan to take the SAT and/or the ACT tests in my junior year.  I am leaning towards a major in either athletic training or teaching so that I can coach.  I don’t have to attend a division I school; I am more interested in a competitive swim team and being able to pursue my major choices.

I am a hard worker and dedicated to making excellent grades and swimming hard.  I am willing to give my all to succeed in school and sports.  You would not be disappointed to have me on your team.
