Emma Scheider '18 Recruiting Profile

As a student athlete who has swum competitively since the age of nine, I have high expectations for myself and set new goals every year; whether that be to improve my times or excel in school.  I have a very strong work ethic, both in the water and outside of it, and I'm self-motivated to achieve my goals.  I consider my swim team my second family.  I love training hard alongside my teammates and cheering them on to meet their goals too. While I value my swimming career, academics are also extremely important to me. My self-motivation and discipline has helped me balance my intense training schedule while still maintaining a 4.0 GPA, including both Honors and AP classes, while also acting as a Student Council Representative at my High School and being a member of the National Honor Society.
