Personal Statement
In college I would love to continue my swimming career. Swimming has been a huge part of my life for so long and I couldn't imagine having to give it up after I finish high school. I plan to major in some time of field that pertains to law. After getting my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend law school and hopefully succeed there.
Something that makes me a good candidate for any team is my ability to get along with almost everyone. I have always been an outgoing person and it has always been easy for me to make friends. With any team I have been on I have considered my teammates my family, I treat them with respect and I care for them in and out of the pool. Swimming has taught me how to manage practice with school work. I have always been a hard working student and I continue to average an A/B report cards. Other things I have learned along my sports path is discipline, endurance, and to never give up. With these combined skills and traits I feel like I could fit among any team.
Something, I feel, that makes me stand out from other recruits is my personality and work ethic. As stated before, I am a very outgoing person. I have spoken in front of large audiences in multiple situations, making it easy for me to communicate clearly with anyone. I have grown up around adults my whole life. With being an only child I was forced into situations where I had to properly communicate with people much older than I was. This has helped me become more mature and sound more intelligent than other kids my age.
I have been athletic my whole life, playing around 7 sports in total. My parents were both high school athletes and have continued to be fit and healthy their whole lives. Being raised in this environment has helped me learn what is right for my body in order to preform at my best. My parents have also pushed me academically my whole life. They constantly check to make sure I have turned in all my homework assignments and I am best prepared for any upcoming tests or quizzes. These two things combined have helped me to not only become the athlete I am but, have helped me become the student I am and am continuously improving on becoming.
