Lauren Anders '20 Recruiting Profile

My career in swimming began in an unconventional manner. I was a competitive gymnast for nine years, but gave it up due to the high impact nature of the sport. I began swimming at the age of twelve. With the help of my strength from gymnastics and my incredible coaches, I was able to achieve divisional cuts that first year and many state cuts after that. This past summer, the summer of 2018, I had two correctional procedures to fix my old injuries from gymnastics, and now being injury free, I am poised to achieve my time goals. 

I have been named honorary senior and team leader of my high school team. I strongly believe that goals, positive support, and strong work ethic sum up my team mottos. 

As for my academics, my current class rank is 61 of 449. My SAT score is a 1410, a 780 on the English and 630 on math. I have a strong interest in psychology, specifically sports psychology, and kinesiology. Ideally, the college that I attend will continue to challenge me in the classroom and pool while providing me with the opportunity to pursue my career choice.
