Personal Statement

Ever since the age of 6 I've been swimming competitively and apparently never wanted to get out of the water as a child. As years passed I realized how much my love for swimming had grown and considered taking it to a collegiate level. Being able to swim in college would not only be an opportunity of a lifetime, but also allow for me to continue my passion and reach higher potential no matter if it may be in or out of the water.

No matter what the sport or mentality situation may be I love to compete. Being competitive is one thing I can say that I am most of the time. Though not only individually, to me sportsmanship is truly one of the most important foundations to any swim team. I'm one to always be behind the blocks cheering for a teammate, even if doing so alone. Cheering from the sidelines not only brings the team closer together but allows for the same struggle to feel somewhat connected.

Everything I do I feel is for a reason. Every practice and meal is a step into the right or wrong direction depending upon choosing right from wrong. I am unalike the kids who work hard but eat unhealthy, or the ones who eat right but fail to stay determined through that hard practices. I try my best to be all in, every time I jump in a pool or am seated in the kitchen with temptations.

School and academics are top priority and always come first. I study hard and try my hardest to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I also try to get involved with  many school club associations: Key club, SADD club, and Natural helpers.

My hope is to attend a college where I feel needed. No matter if I'm in the pool or in the classroom, I plan to push myself to my full potential. As of now I am not sure what my options are but plan to find one that can challenge me in the classroom and harder than ever before in the pool.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
