Makenzie Ingle '26 Recruiting Profile

Swimming brought me a life I never knew a sport could give. It gave me a sense of pride and discipline, two traits I lacked for the first eight years of my life. The sport was always there for me when I needed it and I was able to use it as an outlet for everything. Anytime I was angry or upset I would go to a practice and leave perfectly content with no worries. Just being in the water and training hard brings me so much joy. It helped keep my feelings and life in check as well as bringing me some of my closest friendships which I am incredibly grateful for. I could not even begin to think of where I'd be without the sport, and I don't think I will ever be able to leave such a fantastic thing behind. It is something I want to go along with for as long as I can. I've wanted to do college swim since I went to my first divisional championship when I was around eleven years old. I love learning and academics and have from a young age and grades have always been important to me even when I'm struggling. I do everything in my power to make sure I'm becoming the best version of myself. Swimming and school have made that possible.
