I started swimming at the age of 4 only because my mom wanted me to learn but I didn’t think that I was going to do that sport my whole life. All of my life I’ve pushed myself to accomplish many things and work hard for them, both in swimming and academics. I like to set high goals and improve myself every time. Some qualities that I believe would make me a valuable member of a collage team are that I am committed, positive and ambitious. I love being part of a team, helping others achieve their goals, competing and the amazing environment of swimming. I’ve faced so many obstacles such as injuries, Hurricane Irma and Maria, earthquakes and now COVID 19 but none of these have stopped me of doing what I love. Swimming has taught me lots of things and made me not only a stronger swimmer but a stronger person as well. Although my path has been a bumpy one, swimming has brought the most amazing opportunities, friendships and an amazing bond with my coaches. I want to become a better swimmer and be a role model both in and out of the pool. I hope to swim in so I can grow and learn through this journey. I am excited to be part of an amazing college with both a great swim team and academics, that can help me to continue to develop myself as swimmer and become professional.
