Andrea Nieves Méndez '22 Recruiting Profile

In Puerto Rico I have lived through a handful of natural disasters that have beaten us down, but I worked even harder to get where I am today. My life experiences give me the confidence to say that I have extreme perseverance and grit; being a student atjorge in college has been my dream since I was six years old. As a collegiate swimmer my goals are to compete at an international level and reach a peak performance but also develop myself in open water swimming. In the marine sciences I aspire to restore the blanching of coral reefs and help reverse climate change and ocean pollution.
