Aspen Cole '24 Recruiting Profile

My local swim club has about 30 members, ranging from age 7 to 20.  Being from a small club is great because we are all so close that it is like family. The downside is resource availability for both coaching and facilities. While we are able to practice 4-5 times per week, we do not have the resources to hold strength training or dryland team sessions. I have been adding these training elements into my personal weekly training routine, however, having these additional type of team training sessions is one of the things I am most looking forward to in college swimming. I am willing to work hard and I am looking for a program that will push me and my teammates to be the best we can be.

While I love to celebrate good results after having hard work pay off, I have also learned that I must accept failure as lessons. There is always something to improve on from every race. I am always looking for guidance on how to improve my stroke technique and I pride myself on being coachable. I've enjoyed placing at the LSC level and have treasured my experiences being a part of multiple club and high school state meets. I look forward to continuing with my USA swimming career not only in my LSC but at meets such as Sectionals and beyond.  I have always loved forming connections and being close with my teammates. Encouraging my teammates to work hard and be the best they can be is one of my favorite things about swimming . I am willing to give it my all in order to be the best I can be in swimming, track and in the classroom.
