Personal Statement
My name is Rachelle Houlette. I am a swimmer from Altoona, Iowa, and I have been on the Southeast Polk Varsity Swim Team for the past 3 years. During my high school career, I have made it to the Iowa High School Girls State Meet 3 times, both in individual events and relays. This year, I received an All-State Honorable Mention award for my 200 IM at the High School State Meet. I also compete on a USA Swim Club team that practices year-round, and I have competed at the State and Sectional levels for USA Swimming.
My best strokes and events are Butterfly, Freestyle, and IM. I am dedicated at practice and always give my best effort to athletics. I am also committed to being a great student athlete, and I am interested in going to a college where I can make a positive impact in and out of the pool. I prefer to attend a school that is located in the Midwest so that I would be closer to family in Iowa.
I am looking forward to joining a team that strives for success and motivates each other to grow!
