Personal Statement
In my almost eight years of swimming I have never enjoyed this sport more than I do right now! These past few years have been very motivating and made me excited to swim at a college level. Winning state this past year after taking the summer before off, made me realize that as a swimmer, I can do everything I set my mind to.
Although taking time off from the sport was much needed, it made me think about how much this sport really does mean to me. The people around me at practice, my coaches and my teammates, help me get through every good, bad, hard, or easy practice by always encouraging me and making me smile!
Being a hardworking athlete has taught me much discipline not only in swim, but in school as well. I feel the work ethic that I have can get me far in a sport or a professional career and my love for swimming can take me to all events within the swimming world.
This year my goal is to go 55 in the 100 backstroke and 4:30 in my 400 IM.
