Summer 2012Personal Statement
Every swimmer has a dream to make it to the Olympics and to be the next gold medalist in their event. Sure that would be nice and I do hope to make it to the Olympics someday but right now I am focused on just being the best swimmer I can be. My ultimate goal is to stand on that winners podium and sing USA's national anthem, but until then I take my training day by day and push my limits. I aspire to be an ER physician/trauma surgeon. I am fasinated by how our bodies work and all the things that happen within us. It's like a puzzle with an infinite amout of pieces just waiting to be discovered. I want to major in microbiology and get accepted into medical school. I am not just another student athlete looking for a free ride into college. I am Sarah Simar, someone who wants to swim until the day I die.
