Megan Russell '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Megan Russell, I have been swimming competitively since I was 8 years old but I have always loved the water.  I started to swim because my mom swam all her life competitively through elementary, high school, and even got a scholarship to college for swimming.  I constantly strive to do the best in everything I do: athletics and academics.  I understand what it is like to work hard.  My mom is a single mom that works herself to the bone to send my little brothers and I to school to get a good education.  She has always instilled in me to work hard and that's all that matters and to this day I still go by that philosophy.  So far that has worked for me.  I have been in numerous honors classes at my school and I plan to take more through my last two years of high school.  

Swimming has been my passion and my favorite sport all my life and I hope that you choose me for your team because I will always try my best and push myself to do better as much as humanly possible.
