Swimming has always been there for me. March 21st, 2021, I was in a car accident, and I broke 7 bones. It definitely was the hardest time of my life, and the idea of being able to swim again was my motivation. It took me about 2 months to be able to swim a singular lap, and that lap meant the world to me. 9 months later, I won the division 3 100 breaststroke and my high school team took the state title. Swimming really helps your attitude as well. The team and the individual aspects of the sport help build character and purpose. This sport has definitely shaped me into who I am today.
