Victoria Weber '12 Recruiting Profile

Swimming has been a part of my life since i was less than a year old. To say the least, swimming has simply made me the person i am today. I have swum for the Kennebec Valley YMCA swim team since I was eight years old for both the YMCA team and the USA team. I practice every single day of the week and I usually have swim meets during the weekends. When high school swim season comes around I also swim for my high school, cony high school. Therefore I swim double practices every day until the end of February. I am a hard worker and very dedicated to the sport. I have placed second overall in the 100 freestyle at high school states my sophomore year, eighth overall in high school New England's that same year, both my sophomore and freshman year I placed second in the 100 fly at KVACs (Kennebec valley athletic conference) and when I was 14 I placed second overall in the 100 butterfly at Maine state USA winter champs and participated in eastern zones. I still swim with the Stingray's and help out with the younger kids on the team teaching them the proper stroke technique. I absolutely love helping out with the younger kids on the team and it has inspired me to be a kindergarten teacher so I am looking for schools with elementary education programs. I am currently 5 feet and 6 and a half inches tall and I weigh about 115. When looking at colleges I primarily hope to stay on the eastern coast because it's not too far away from home and hoping for a semi large city. I am hoping to go to a d1 or d2 school with the hope of having a semi competitive team.
