Personal Statement
As a freshman in high school, I was very fortunate. The Bishop Feehan high school's girls swim team swam as DII, and we swam in the Fall season. However, as a sophomore, the girls swim team was switched to DI and to the Winter season; making the competition much harder. We won the Sectional Championship and the State Championship my freshman year, however Bishop Feehan came in 6th place at the Sectional Championship my sophmore year. But in placing 6th, I still experienced a sense of sportsmanship like never before. Being on the Bishop Feehan swim team had made me who I am, and has made me love swimming even more. I stumbled upon the sport of Swimming when I was seven years old, while I was at a YMCA. I saw a team practicing and fell in love with the sport, and haven't stopped swimming since. Swimming has taught me independence, perseverance, and how to be part of something larger than myself. For my high school career, my goal is to push myself to my fullest potential, and to be the best version of myself. For college, I plan to simply learn as much as I can while preparing for the future.
