I have been competitively swimming since I was 5 years old and it is one of my biggest passions! A goal of mine is to have the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level in order to better myself as an athlete, and be a contributing member of a college team. I was selected as my high school team's junior captain due to my high level of dedication and talent in the pool and commitment to my team, as well as being my team's highest scoring sophomore during the 2019-2020 season. I feel as though I would be an asset to any college team, not only for my dedication and performance in the pool, but as a supportive and encouraging teammate.
In the classroom, I am a dedicated student and have shown a great amount of drive all of my life. I believe it is important to challenge myself in order to reach my full potential in all aspects of life. While maintaining a GPA of 3.86, I was enrolled in 6 honors classes during my sophomore year. Ever since I was very young, I have always had a love for learning and working with others, and I would like to continue that in hopes of receiving a degree in communication sciences and disorders in college. My ultimate goal is to become a speech therapist and work directly with patients.
