2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My journey with the sport of swimming hasn't been as long as most, but I have learned a lot about perseverance, the importance of being a good teammate, how to manage my time, and how to work hard. I've been in love with the pool my whole life and began year round competitive swimming at 14 years old and only starting swimming a year prior to that when I was 13. Even though I started later than most, my hard work and dedication has enabled me to make state and national cuts my sophomore and junior year of high school. I also received 2 all state awards and an all American award last year.
Swimming in college has now become my goal and dream. It has helped motivate me to do and achieve great things as well as establish good habits in the classroom and the pool. I don't have many days off swimming ,but I can say without a doubt I miss it so much when we are on holiday break and can't wait to get back in the pool!
Swimming is my passion, my addiction, and something that I am very dedicated and committed to.
