Hello, I am a student of Dundee Community Schools in Dundee, Michigan. I am involved and interested in many activities through my school. I am the most successful flute player of the marching/concert band, I am the most recognized member of the Women's Varsity Swim team, and I also take part of a Student Prevention Leadership Team which involves teens saying "no" to drugs and unhealthy choices in their life. I have always been a high scoring student with all of my classes, including college courses that I am involved in.
I have been part of a swim team since I was in 3rd grade. I started off with a small organization based in my towns public pools. I graduated to the middle school swim team and later on became a member of the high school varsity team along with a more advanced swim team based out of Monroe County called Southern Michigan Aquatic Club (SMAC). Every year possible, I have reached the qualifying times in multiple events to move on to state meets and have qualified multiple times for Junior Olympics through USA Swimming. My main events are sprint freestyle, but I would love to see where my talent can take me through my next years of high school and potentially college.
When we reach the 5th grade of our academics, we are eligible to be a part of concert band, and later on graduate to marching band. I have been playing the flute since I was 10 years old. I was compelled by music, it captivated me regardless of the genre, style, or instrument. I have been seated as the most educated and talented player every year since 5th grade and I have taken up as the only piccolo player for marching band. I would love to be involved in music some way in the future.
During the school year, I push myself to attend challenging courses and be involved in multiple groups throughout the school. I have been put into Honors English courses and Advanced Placement United States History, along with being ahead of my class for mathematics. I am intrigued with all genres of science and mathematics and have always understood the concepts that I have been taught. For the past 3 years, I have tried to place myself in the qualifying classes to be enrolled into the University of Michigan. I would love to become an Epidemiologist to study diseases and viruses and be a part of the growing, developing world of medicine.
I am still exploring my abilities through academics, athletics, and talents and keeping my mind open to new opportunities. My goals for college and my future is to be well educated as well as taking part of public organizations, athletic teams, and involve myself in as many extracurricular activities as possible. I am keeping my college choices open and I would love to explore the different options that are in store for my future.
