Katelyn Simenton '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Katelyn Simenton.  I have been competitively swimming for 3 yrs.  I have always had a love of the water, but it was COVID that drew me to the pool.  With online schooling, I wanted a social life and a challenge, so I decided to join a club team.  I have found a drive for the sport.  My coaches have been impressed with my natural four-stroke abilities.  I swim where I am needed on the team, mostly doing breast, fly and IM events.  I am just starting to hit my stride as a swimmer, consistently making a new personal record.   I know that by the time I am swimming in college, I will have more to give and continue to be moldable under a new coach and team.  

Outside of the pool I have found enjoyment in coaching.  I have taken on a position with my club team as a developmental coach and truly enjoy leading the next generation of swimmers.  
My career goal is to be an anesthesiologist, so it is important that the school I attend has a good pre-med/biology program.  I look forward to the next chapter of my life and hope to be a part of a team in college to offset the rigorous curriculum that I know is ahead of me.
