MY name is Petra Hanrahan, I am a senior this fall and looking forward to besting personal times in all freestyle events. Its been a busy summer so far, started a new job, PM training, and working to get my teachers certificate for young swimmers by this fall. Enjoyed the Motor City Mile, they had a new event just for Lifeguards, we had to swim the open water mile with a life tube, I finished 2nd and 22nd over all in my age group. The times aren't posted yet. I have a few more college visits scheduled before school starts and really enjoy interacting with the coaches.

- AwardsBeing a junior is as hard as everyone says but I'm getting my biology, science and math classes that I will need in college. I just finish my ACT's and should know in a few weeks. I've been working hard on my swim stroke and my coaches seem to like the improvement. I am very exited to start visiting colleges over spring break. Im dissapointed with my ACT and will be re-taking this Sept. My counselor is asking for extended time and audio to help with my reading(dislexia) issues
