Grit and humility, kindness and integrity, perseverance and dedication... these are all attributes that describe a successful swimmer. Through my swimming career I have developed and learned how to apply each of these characteristics to my life, both in and out of the pool, and have learned many life lessons along the way. Over the thousands of miles I have swam, over the hours and days I have spent in the water, I have discovered that being a well rounded person is the key to being successful in both athletics and academics... and I have learned how important it is to find a balance between the two.
Words cannot express how much I love competing for my high school team. When swimming with them I am swimming not just for a team, but for a family. I want to bring that passion to your university through a leadership and team role to promote a positive work ethic and commitment to success. My goal is to be a leader in the pool, in the classroom and in the campus community, promoting athletic and academic success for both my teamates and myself. I am excited to find a school with a balanced approach to academic and athletic excellence. I believe I possess the talent, the values, and the character of a competitive swimmer that will be an invaluable contribution to your team, your family and your university.
