Personal Statement
Finishing first at Section Prelims for AA my sophomore year is probably one of by best accomplishments. Although at Section Finals I fluked and I never made it to State in my 50. I couldn’t see it because I was devastated, but this taught me perseverance and how to overcome a setback. I am now more determined than ever to keep pursuing better and faster times. I want to be reaching a 23.0 in my 50 and a 52.0 in my 100 free in this upcoming season. I also have my eyes on national cuts. I am now working with a retired Olympic coach to help me excel and learn more about my talent!
I want a team that fits me acedemically and athletically. I know I have what it takes to compete at college level. I have learned leadership skills, how to cope with setbacks, and maintain a strong work ethic. I am never satisfied with my times and always want to push myself. I think I would make a great addition to any college program because I never know when to give up!
