Personal Statement
My name is Emma Beavers and I am from Redwood Falls, Minnesota. I began swimming at the age of 7 on my local summer swim team. At the age of 9, I joined a club team 40 miles away in Marshall, Minnesota. That experience provided the opportunity to join the Marshall High School Swim and Dive Team in 7th grade where I was voted Rookie of the Year. I continue to be a member of both teams. Outside of the pool, I also was a member of the Varsity track team for 5 years and played Varsity softball 1 year.
Academics have always been important to me and I enjoy challenging myself in the classroom. I'm involved in National Honor Society and also a part of the Senior Executive Committee at my High School. Although I have enjoyed my high school career, I'm excited to find a college that will challenge me academically while providing me the opportunity to compete in the pool.
