Personal Statement
My coaches would say that in addition to my on-point observations and incredible sense of humor, I am one of the hardest workers in the pool and in dryland, that I set goals and persevere to reach them, and that I am very competitive in races.
As a college swimmer, I hope to continue improving all four strokes and getting better times, while also learning from my coach, fellow teammates, and experiences. I am looking for a well-rounded life experience that will include growth in all areas. Because I only began competitive swim at age 11, I feel I have potential to continue improving with the right coach! My teammates are very important to me and I love to support them individually and in relays; I believe that we all make each other work harder and get faster.
My background in homeschool and small, private school have allowed me to develop into an independent learner that thinks outside the box when it comes to tackling projects. I also enjoy tinkering with materials in my dad's workshop, painting on canvas, kayaking, and of course, traveling.
