Darlene Westie '19 Recruiting Profile

    Swimming is a big part of who I am. I am someone who has learned from a very young age that hard work brings success faster than talent. One such occasion was High School State when I contributed numerous points, assisting my team to third place last year. I am accustomed to working my schedule around both school and swimming, and studying late into the night. I am somebody who if I don’t feel like I have put enough work in I will put more work in on my own time.

    I am also a Ravenclaw at heart. I love knowledge and learning, and can read for hours at a time. Research is something I love. New information is something I crave. I love to hear about new ideas, and will happily discuss differing viewpoints with people. I know I will able to help a swim team that picks me a great deal, and the college behind it will be proud to have me.
