Personal Statement
I was adopted from a second world country, and so I take that to mean every day is a privilege that not all kids born into my situation get. Therefore, I work hard on everything I do and for everything I have. Even if I'm not the fastest on your team, I will work day in and day out to be the hardest worker swimmer on your team. For my entire swim career, my swim success has come from my willingness to go to the morning practices, to go to the double practices, and to put in all the effort I have. I am an excellent student in school. I push myself in my classes by taking a substantial amount of advanced placement classes every year.
