Chloe Meyer-Blohm '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Chloe Meyer-Blohm. My teammates call me Cookie. I was born in Miami, FL but grew up in Costa Rica. My journey as a swimmer began before I learned to walk; water has always felt like home to me. Since the age of seven, I have dedicated myself to competitive swimming in Costa Rica, where I broke several national records in the 50 and 100 backstrokes in age groups throughout several years. Although my achievements were substantial, I faced the challenge of being unable to compete with the national team due to not being a Costa Rican national. This experience fueled my desire to pursue my athletic career in the United States, which led me to apply to boarding schools  in 2023. Today, I am a proud sophomore at Phillips Exeter Academy,NH, and strive to excel both academically and athletically by being part of the varsity swimming and water polo teams.

Swimming is more than just a sport for me; it embodies my work ethic, discipline, and competitive spirit. I thrive in challenging environments and am always ready to push my limits, not only in the pool but also in my studies. My ultimate goal is to attend an academically esteemed institution where I can continue my pursuit of excellence, both as a teammate and a scholar.

I envision my college experience as a balance of rigorous academics and competitive athletics. Being part of a swim team is essential to my identity; the camaraderie, commitment, and shared passion for the sport are aspects I cannot envision living without. I am excited about the prospect of joining a college swim program that not only challenges me in the water but also fosters my academic interests.  I look forward to contributing to a team in every way possible, supporting my teammates, and achieving collective success.
