Kylie Mitchell '16 Recruiting Profile

I believe my strong dedication to training 9+ times a week, year round, provides me with a good base to develop into a successful NCAA swimmer. Swimming is the love of my life. I definitely want to take the time to get to know my future coach(es) and teammates before I commit. I am looking for a team and coach that will support my open water goals. In September 2014 I earned third and fourth place finishes at the World Junior Open Water Championship in Hungary. Training for this event and representing the U.S taught me about what it takes to completely focus on a goal and sacrifice everything to give me the best chance to succeed on the big stage. The past few years I've dedicated my time to training and taking care of my body, such as eating healthy and recovering properly to ensure the best results. Every decision I make has an impact on my performance. I'm not afraid to go away from home to find the best fit for swimming and academics. I'm really excited for all the opportunities college swimming provides and what I'll gain in the next few years
