Personal Statement
Personal Statement- Tell Coaches about your collegiate goals and aspirations ?
My aspirations for long term is to find a college where I can reach my fullest swimming potential where I can be a great positive role model to my team & school. I believe that I can contribute immediately to the team with my enthusiasm and positive attitude. I plan to pursue a career in business. I consider myself a leader and a positive role model with my work ethic. Swimming is my heart and passion and will always give coaches, teammates, teachers, and school my 110% effort in the classroom, practices, and meets. I am always the first and last student/player to leave the classroom & practices due to my dedication to improve on every aspect of my stroke as well as a student.
What makes you a good candidate for their team ?
I am able to do several events and distances. My best stroke is the breast but I also have the ability to do all the IM strokes. I have a great attitude and I am an excellent team player. I have always succeeded as a swimmer and student since I was 8 yrs old.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?
I am very competitive, desire to be great, my passion for swimming drives me to exceed. I have very good knowledge about the swim stroke mechanics and my instincts are good allowing me to have an advantage over my competition. I have raced against several swimmers in national meets who have gone on to attend D1 schools. As a freshman I am our teams fastest in the 200 IM finishing third in the Counties meet. I also finished fourth in the 100 Breast at the same meet. In academics I am in honor classes and made the Honor Roll for the first marking period. On my club team- I am swimming for the National Team which is at the highest level and have accomplished team and individual goals. My goal is to graduate and make my parents, coaches, & school, very proud.
