Dina Sorenson-Graham '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dina Sorenson-Graham. I am 5'6 and approximately 126 lb. I have been swimming competitively since the age of three. I have come to love the sport with a burning passion like no other. Unlike most teenage girls, I would much rather go through an extensive swimming workout than paint my nails. I absolutely love swimming and I can not imagine my life without this sport. I am currently a junior in high school looking to get a head start in the athletic field for swimming collegiately. I was MVP for my high school team my junior year and I have made the top 8 at the N.S.C.H.S.G.A.A Championships. I am a hard worker and can bring a lot to a team. I always strive to be my best both in and out of the pool while pushing others to do so as well. I have not decided where I would like to go to college, but I have narrowed it down to staying on the east coast. I do not want to go to far away, but I do not want to be around the corner from my house. I am looking for a DII or DI Woman's Swimming team in a medium sized school. However, I am open to all types of schools and I keep an open mind about everything. My family does have a financial need because my mother is a single parent with a health disability and can not work. I am looking for a swimming scholarship and can assure if I receive one, it will not be a waste. I would like to major in Law and go into any type of field in Law or Psychology. My goals in swimming are to swim at the highest competition level possible and make a lasting impact on whatever team I swim on. I want to make sure that any team I swim on will remember my name in a positive light. I would like to bring my team to the top, whether it is States, Nationals, Championships, or another high level meet.
