Personal Statement
I have been swimming since I was 10. I have had my ups and downs, but my love for the sport always remains true. I exhibit optimism while possessing empathy and self-awareness for teammates even during the difficult times. A strong work ethic is important to me and this carries over into my athletic and academic goals. When I first fail, I understand myself and know how to fail forward towards my academic and athletic goals.
My end game is to gain a degree in Clinical Psychology. I have a passion to help people in need and to make a life doing it. My swimming goals would include qualifying for the Olympic Trials and being apart of a collegiate swim team.
Ultimately, I want to be a part of a bigger community of swimmers, who share the same passion and drive I do for the sport.
