2017 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am a senior at Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio. I began swimming competitively at the age of 5, and now also run track. From preschool to eighth grade, I attended a small, private school with a rigorous academic curriculum rooted in a foundation of strong core values. These principles of responsibility, dedication, and hard work have translated to my actions in the classroom as well as in the pool. I earn high grades in challenging courses, train year-round at an elite level, and am respected as a student, athlete, and teammate. For me, few things compare to waking up in the morning and knowing that I have the opportunity to shrink the distance between where I am today and where I want to be. The goals that I set motivate me so that I can reap the results of my efforts later. Overall, I am constantly looking for ways to improve myself in all aspects. I am willing to work hard to earn the results that I strive for, and I am determined to overcome any challenges that may come my way.
