I have learned that success is not measured in the number of events won, but by the number of goals achieved and the number of obstacles overcome. My greatest experience was winning the 50 meter butterfly at the Central Zone Championship as a 12 year old. This was only achieved by setting a goal and overcoming anything in my way. I loved the feeling of standing on the podium knowing that I had made my team and my family proud. That feeling may be great, but I live for the grueling hours of work in the pool and the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a hard set. I am motivated to do well in everything that I do. Whether it be school or swimming, I am always motivated to do the very best that I can. I think that having this quality would make me a great addition to your swim team. As a freshman, I haven't had many experiences on a high school team, but those that I have had are great. I am sure that these experiences will shape me into a better person and role model, as they already have. I'm a talented and hard-working athlete with a lot of potential to swim in college.
