Personal Statement

My name is Cassandra and I am a high school junior from Courtice Ontario Canada.  I have been swimming competitively since I was 7. My biggest swimming accomplishments to date are 3 finals at age group nationals and 3 provincial medals. My best events are the 100 and  200 breaststroke, and 200 and 400IM. I just swam my first meet as a 16 year old and will be ranked in the top 10 nationally for my age in the 200 breast stroke, top 15 for 100 breaststroke,  and Im hoping for top 20 in the 400IM.  My biggest asset is my hard work and my willingness to listen and learn.

I am looking for a school that will allow me to balance my swimming and my academics. I have been on the honor roll at school in grades 8,9 and 10 and my current GPA is 3.7.  I want to study psychology and hope to have a minor in nutrition. I would like a smaller school in a warm climate. However growing up in Canada I am used to -20C winters with lots of snow so any climate is fine. I am also not afraid to be at a big school, I am looking for a good fit between myself and a coach and my academics.  I believe I would be a good fit in a div 2 or NAIA program but would consider div 1 or div 3 if it was a good fit athletically and academically.

As for me I am the middle child of 3. I enjoy drawing, painting and running and going to the movies with my friends.  thank you for taking the time to read this

Sincerely

Cassandra.
