My goals and aspirations since I started swimming was to be very successful, making it as far as the Olympic trials. I would say what makes me a good candidate is I love to team bond and work together as a team and engage in the swim community, and be successful as well, individually of course. My diversity from other competitors is I would say my strengths in academics is definitely history and English. I love studying how complicated for example American history is in ancestry and how everything connects together. I also love English literature. I’ve only studied Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth so far of Shakespeare’s work, and I’ve worked hard at comprehending everything I study. What I do best is put 100% effort into everything I do, no matter what, I like to work hard no matter what it takes to get to where I want to go. I’m generous and inclusive with new people I meet, and I really like to meet new people. I also play the viola and I’ve been in two youth symphonies top groups. I’ve competed at the state level for viola for solo competitions. But to get to the main point, swimming is my number one focus no matter what. Sophomore year took a really hard hit in swimming because I was dealing with an unfortunate event in my life, but this past season in club, I’ve been working really hard to get where I was before then.
