2021 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I am a very dedicated and hardworking student and athlete. I maintain a 4.0 GPA and strive to be the best swimmer I can be. At the 2020 District meet I didn’t end the season how I would’ve liked so in the off-season I dedicated myself to lifting, running, and working with a college swimmer twice a week on technique. This 2021 season was tough due to Covid-19 and I didn't reach all of the goals I wanted to, but I was close. At the 2021 District meet I hit a low 25 second 50 freestyle and dropped time in most of my events. Both of my relays placed first at Districts and advanced to the State Championships. On my YMCA team, I was the only female to qualify for the Regional Championships. I'm looking forward to lifting and club swimming this summer. I am hoping to break the 50 and 100 freestyle school records by the end of next year.
