Personal Statement
Dear Potential Coaches,
My name is Kara Campbell. I am beginning my Senior year at Wallenpaupack Area High School in Hawley, PA. As a student athlete at Wallenpaupack Area High School, I am preparing myself academically, socially and athletically to help me achieve my dreams and goals of becoming a successful collegiate athlete. Within my NCSA profile, you will see I am not only active athletically throughout the year, but I am also a leader within our school and community. I am currently the Class of 2020 Vice President, a Wallenpaupack Area School District Student Ambassador, a member of the Wallenpaupack Athletic Council, and a key member of the Wallenpaupack Student Council, which organizes many activities here at Wallenpaupack Area High School. I am looking forward to building a solid foundation of academics and athletics for my future.
One thing I feel that makes me unique from other swimmers, is that I have been a successful two sport varsity athlete competing in the competitive District 2 region of Pennsylvania. As a freshman and sophomore, I was a District 2 AAA champion and competed at PIAA states in both swimming and track and field. While I enjoy my other sports, swimming is the sport that I truly love and want to compete in at the college level.
Being a multi sport athlete and swimmer has allowed me to learn at an early age the skill of balancing my academics, athletics, swim team yardage, family and friends.
I am looking forward to the recruiting process and learning about different college programs. I am working each day to reach my goals of becoming a NCAA swimming student athlete.
