Twelve years, that is how long I have been dedicated to a sport that has brought so much delight into my life. Swimming has taught me to respect my competitors, focus on details in technique, concentrate on what my coaches advise me, set goals, and challenge myself to consistently improve.
I take great pride in competing only for the Hershey Aquatic Club as well as the Hershey High School Swimming and Diving team, both under head coach Greg Fastrich, for my entire swimming career thus far. Being awarded the Mid-Penn Conference and District III team championships, having an undefeated regular season, and qualifying for my high school state championships were the highlights of my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. However, I believe I have gained the most as a student athlete through the time management skills that I have acquired throughout the first three years in my high school experience. After entering high school, I have continued to improve my times from one season to the next through hard work, dedication, and encouragement from my teammates and coaches. Outside of the pool, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, working as a lifeguard at my community recreation center, playing with my cat, Simon, and traveling to the beach during the summer.
I would like to attend a college that has the perfect combination of academics and athletics in order for me to reach my career goals. Ideally, I would like to find a competitive academic and athletic environment where I can grow as a swimmer and impact a team with the past decade of experiences that I have acquired.
