Fay Laborio '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Fay Laborio and I am a New England swimmer from Cranston, Rhode Island. I have been swimming on a competitive swim team since the age of six. I swim for Seacoast Swimming Association under the coaching of Ray Grant. I swim eight times a week and am strongly committed to swimming. I am looking for a College with a balance of academics as well as a great swim team.

I attend school at Cranston High School West. For the past three years, I have held a 3.51 unweighted GPA and a 4.19 weighted GPA. I am ranked 22/389 in my class putting me in the top 6%. I also have been honored with achievements from the National Honor Society and the World Language Honor Society. I was also selected for a Freshman Leadership Conference, a Junior Leadership Conference, and the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. I am involved in many extra-curricular activities including Student Council and Class Council Executive Board, Freshman Mentor Captain, Yearbook Staff, Peer Tutoring, Religious and Hebrew School Teacher's Aid, and Volunteer Work at my Pediatrician's Office.

I have been able to combine my passion for swimming as well as working with children in being a swim instructor to the past three years teaching swimming to young children ranging from the ages of 9 months to 15 years old.
