Meaghan Lyons '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a breaststroke/IMer from Hilton Head High School in Hilton Head, South Carolina. I have been swimming for almost 10 years now, and I am excited to find opportunities to continue swimming at a collegiate level. So far I have reached Junior National competitions in my specialties and keep improving my other strokes through my IM work. I have always worked on balancing rigorous academics and athletics. I am currently an AP and IB student with a 5.18 weighted GPA and ranked 1/282 in my class. Outside of the classroom and the pool, I am very involved in service activities, including a mentoring program I pioneered for my swim team. For me, it's very important to give back when you are given much and my team and coaches have given me so much support and many opportunities. I am looking for a college with a great team atmosphere and a network that will support me as I pursue a degree. I am also very interested in an environment where I can get involved in activities outside of the classroom and pool, from on-campus organizations to service opportunities to internships.
