I first started learning to swim when I was 7 years old. I quickly became fascinated with the stroke of the butterfly: not many people wanted to try it so of course, I had to give it a shot. Inside the pool and out, I stuck to that value: always trying new things that others deemed hard or challenging. Throughout my life, I've always had swimming to lean on and continuously provide me the challenge to make myself a better person and athlete. I've moved many times; living and training in Minnesota, Alabama, and now Tennessee. Moving has helped me learn how to resiliently adapt to different environments so that I can thrive and encourage the people around me. I have always been interested in swimming in college, and I am excited to start taking steps towards that goal. I am looking to improve individually and help lead my future team to the greatest amount of success. I believe that my exuberant personality, tenacity in the pool, and dedication to my studies make me a great candidate to be a college-level swimmer and teammate.
